Qatar Airways looked to develop and launch it’s own food branding in Economy Class – Quisine. Quisine would be encompass the entire meal service: short and long haul, main meal and snacks. Along with new, best-in-class menus, Quisine would including new meal service equipment and packaging with fresh branding. The initial timeline from inception was six months. Global-C was chosen to partner with Qatar Airways to design and deliver the new equipment and packaging.
Global-C developed and launched 11 new pieces of equipment/packaging in six months to support the launch of Quisine. This included trays with nonskid bottoms, multiuse bowls made from Tritan, a larger CPET container with top sealing film and aluminium lids, and supporting disposables such as nonskid traymats and lids. We also rebranded other disposables such as paper cups and condiments with Quisine artwork.

The Quisine program was launched on schedule and to critical acclaim, with the help of Global-C. Our expertise in design, supply chain and project management, along with our commercial flexibility, enabled Qatar Airways to achieve its objectives for its new Economy Class meal service.
